The Madlib Remixes 1997-2007 (J Rocc Mixtape)

Madlib — November 26, 2012 | Comments (6)

J.Rocc put this one together, collecting ten years of Madlib’s remixes. Many of these were released by the artists on singles, others were made for Madlib’s own use and are still unreleased. This was originally released as Stones Throw Podcast #21, and it’s posted here again after a special request from Rappamelo. Photo by B+

  6. Now if I could only get another copy of the Jaylib special J-Rocc and the guys did on Friday Night Flavas way back. J-Rocc juggles The Rawkus, my favorite Jaylib track of all time, and unfortunately unavailable on vinyl…such an ill beat and I love the way J-Rocc plays the two copies. That was a great show, Dilla had just met J-Rocc (I think) and was mad impressed with all the original sample sources J-Rocc was playing…just classic.
