Ennio Morricone – I Due Evasi Da Sing Sing
Sonor Music Editions is issuing maestro Ennio Morricone’s soundtrack to the film I DUE EVASI DI SING SING (1964), in honor of the composers 92nd birthday.
Pre-Order: Expected Ship Date January 25th.
The album was originally released on an impossible-to-find, promo-only library release in the late 1960s with different titles. This stunning example of the great Morricone at the beginning of his career is possible thanks to the work of the producer Lorenzo Fabrizi in collaboration with Morricone archivists Claudio Fuiano and Daniel Winkler, who found the soundtracks’s mono master tapes.
They’ve restored the album to the original soundtrack sequence, and have added two bonus tracks from the original sessions.
Originally copies of the library version of this album – when they surface – exchange hands for thousands of dollars, and we’re happy our friends at SME have made it accessible, on 180gr. wax. First edition is limited to 500 copies, printed on a thick cardboard sleeve. Graphic design by John Henriksson (Piano Piano Records)
