  1. FlyLo and Earl always make the maddest team, and the fact that this is featuring Thundercat and Viktor Vaughn is such an insane bonus, fuck yeah!

  9. “Too many fake killers”
Like that Earl kid on your track there, DOOM? ;)

I like Earl. Sure, he’s overhyped, but he’s still young and needs to evolve as well, give him a chance. Still, I think that other kid DOOM just did a track with, Bishop Nehru, blows Earl’s flow ability away. Neither rapper talks about much, but after all they are teenagers and still have a lot of life to experience ahead of them.

  10. Earl references Edgar Allan Poe, and has plenty of social commentary. Try listening.

  11. Earl focuses on word play a lot. He can definitely talk about actual stuff when he feels like it (Ex: Burgundy, Sunday, Chum) In my opinion he’s one of the most talented rappers out.

  12. DOOM aka Viktor Vaughn is not a teenager

  14. Smooth groove.. Though it doesn’t feel finished. It needs DOOM or someone to come in harder!!

  15. I hate it when Doom shares the Mic. Except for Quas, Kool Keith and Vast Aire.

  19. Anyone who says Earl is shit, try listening to his first releases BEFORE Odd Future….
It was off all DOOM beats – Vinca Rosea, ALL CAPS.
If you realize that most of Earl’s flow is derived from DOOM, you will understand how talented his assonance is and how clever he actually is….why would DOOM work with a bad artist. Odd Future is hype – Earl is the only lasting talent in it though.

  20. Jamalocaust maks an Excellent point, Earl Sweatshirt is still young & has yet to Evolve. Given the correct direction he will prove to be a Beast. I wish he would leave Odd Future and get will a better fitting crew for him like, say, Joey Bada$$ & his Pro Era clique.

  23. James; if you listen closely to Murphy’s first mixtape the high pitched voices you hear along the captain’s is supposedly Quasimoto, but as for a full collaboration I think we’ll have to wait.

    Comment by ihateu — August 23, 2013, 6:04 pm
  32. Earl’s raps may have meant something in the past but they don’t now. Rap/Hip-Hop is 90% lyrical content and when you rap about nothing, all you have left is 10% effort. I suspect the only reason Earl is on this album is because it was produced by adult swim. Maybe they just want all the actual cool kids who listen to fly-lo and DOOM to start listening to their corporate created nonsense. Maybe I’m just hatin’. Who knows?
